It was late October and autumn leaves were falling around the Wellbeing Farm. This was my first time as a Wellbeing farm wedding Videographer. It was certainly a day I won’t forget! . I’d heard great things about the Wellbeing farm nestled in the rural countryside of Lancashire not far from Bolton. Just the name ‘Wellbeing Farm’ gives off good vibes to me and that was exactly what I experienced when I arrived on site. Simply gorgeous surroundings! Lovely friendly staff oh and did I mention the animals! oh my what a dream!

‘What an absolute delight it was to have Jo Gendle film our wedding day for us. Jo is such a warm and friendly gal and so down to earth and made us feel so comfortable throughout the whole experience from the zoom chat we had getting to know her, through to our actual wedding day.
Jo has such a great sense of humour and is so personable which makes you warm to her straight away. She paid such meticulous detail to our desires in what we wanted from our film and she certainly did not disappoint. What she captured was exactly what we’d asked for. A special day full of joy, happiness, quirkiness, farm filled fun with an all singing and dancing theatrical crowd.
Jo remembers the smallest of details about you as a couple and when the film arrived in its quirky packaging it included some luxury popcorn and a lovely pocket sized crystal which added that special touch associated with us both.
Jo is a master at her craft and clearly cares in getting to know her couples for capturing those personable moments. We cannot recommend Jo Gendle Films enough for anyone wanting any memorable day captured in such a beautiful, professional way. If we could give more than 5/5 stars then we would’.
Truly unique Wellbeing Farm wedding videographer experience
The Wellbeing Farm has to be one of the most unique, spectacular wedding venues in the country. If you are after something truly different then this multi-award-winning wedding venue in Lancashire offers just that. Surrounded by natural beauty, bleeting sheep and cheeky Llamas what’s not to like?
I started the morning at the Last drop village were Jo was getting ready with her crew. As soon as I walked in I felt the magical energy of the room, it was like backstage at a show everyone was excited and emotions were high! Did I mention most of them are actually all theatre actors in the west end!? I knew I was going to get some excellent show tunes out of them!
Jo gave all her bridesmaid crew clear quartz necklaces to wear on the day for good energy. It certainly worked as we had an incredible day at the wellbeing farm and everything went super smoothly!
Jo & Barrys Autumnal wellbeing farm wedding video
Jo & Barry created a rustic, pumpkin/Gin themed wedding. The well being farm let you customise the venue to suit your vision. When I entered the ceremony room it was like a beautiful autumn day with pumpkins and colourful leaves everywhere! Jo & Barry are big gin fans which you could see from the table plans and bar menu! with locally sourced beers, animal themed wine, a Gin Bar with over 50 gins, Pimp Your Prosecco. At the Wellbeing farm you can make a quirky cake choice, Jo & Barry went with one of their custom cheese wedding cakes, decorated with flowers, fruits and a couple of signature llamas, just perfect!
What I love about the Wellbeing farm is it’s an environmentally friendly business, with a commitment to the local area. This is just how a venue should be in my eyes. At the venue you can actually see the farms eco powering system in the form of a wind turbine. The first thing I noticed about the well being farm when I arrived was the donkeys, llamas and sheep. I am an animal magnet and had to refrain from taking a million selfies with ‘Barbara’ the sheep, she was my fave! lol.

I had such a great time with Jo & Barry and the team at the farm! SO many great moments from Jo’s pals singing Victoria Wood songs down the aisle, hilarious guest messages to cheeky Llamas stealing the show in bow ties. I loved the amount of effort and detail that went into the day. Jo & Barry even made a short film to show how much they love all their friends which was played during the speeches. For October the weather was amazing as I captured the peaky blinders style swagger walk down the drive, the magic sunset and even the smoke bombs in the evening.
