A Lesbian Wedding at the Midland Hotel
On the 13th of June I was honoured to be able to capture my first Gay Wedding video. It was great to take a trip back up north and see how Morecambe has been regenerating itself. I was treated to a classic art deco style met with modern day glamour at this iconic Wedding Venue the Midland hotel
The Vintage by the Sea setting provided that extra special backdrop for all of the wedding day filming. The Midland is more than just a wedding venue. It’s an iconic setting to cast your memories in. This modernist vision of marble, mosaics and curvaceous shapes was designed by Oliver Hill finished off with interior decoration by Eric Gill. I was impressed by the sweeping staircases and rather indulgent honeymoon suite complete with a hot tub on the roof! yes please! The Midland is a truly unique hotel, which was perfect for Amy and Krysta’s gorgeous day!
Gay Wedding Video
Being a Lesbian Wedding videographer the girls felt totally at ease with me and we had a giggle. Having two brides meant two bride preparations in the morning Amy and Krysta met on the staircase, seeing each other for the first time having spent some time sketching what they thought the other one might be wearing.
On the day I got to work with one of the most conscientious Photographers I know….. Lisa Hindle who I love working with as like me she really gets people and represents their character so perfectly and honestly. She’s also a right good crack!

They then said their vows overlooking Morecambe Bay creating a memory that will last them a life time!
