I am ready to capture your colourful wedding day!
I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally be getting back to filming weddings again! It’s fair to say there was not really a wedding season last year. It’s been a tough time for the wedding industry both for couples and suppliers. As a Manchester wedding videographer I only managed to shoot 5 wedding videos in 2020 due to government restrictions. I would have been due to film around 40 wedding days but that wasn’t meant to happen.
Lockdown Creativity projects
So instead of feeling sorry for myself with no work on the horizon I took the time in lockdown to further my creative skills so your wedding films will be even more epic and colourful!
I decided to take up painting in January after being inspired by Bob Ross on old BBC4. I love colour in my life and what better way to pass the Winter lockdown down then trying out oil painting! Here’s a few examples of my work if you’re curious!
Feel good wedding videographer
For those of you who don’t know me I am all about capturing the laughter of a wedding day. I will hunt out those cheeky moments, bloopers and pant wetting moments from the day! This is your wedding day after all and people will be having a laugh and good time!
With my love of humour I started a comedy project over lockdown to cheer people up! And I managed to get myself on BBC Radio Manchester with my radio comedy ‘The Buffet Village’. It was based on the answerphone of businesses that would have been shut due to covid 19. I imagined all these random characters ringing up for a table or asking daft questions because they were bored in lockdown or had no idea what was going on! So me and a few comedy friends threw our voices and recorded the hilarious messages via our phones. I then did some audio editing and came up with the buffet village.

Lockdown Comedy Bill & Maurice
Trapped in lockdown my comedy partner Carl and I decided to make a comedy series about re training in a lockdown. Boris Johnson told us to re train and get a viable job! so wrote this spoof documentary about making money in a pandemic! From bed warming, parcel sitting and bird feeding we cover all avenues.
Chins Talking head
Another funny comedy experiment ‘Chins’ similar to the answerphone messages but this time using our chins with stuck on eyes! As we couldn’t meet up in person everything was done remotely. Me Liz Norman and Louisa Bennett created chin characters filmed it on our phones and I put the rest together.
I have enjoyed doing some comedy films over the last year but now I am fully ready to get back to filming weddings across the UK!
