Well it has been another epic year in the world of wedding videography. I have literally been up and down the country filming weddings in all sorts of locations! I think one of my stand out wedding enquiries was for a wedding at a church in the sea! now that was unusual. I’ve had a real adventure this year both abroad and at home. In January I was in Sydney filming a hen doo and then I was off to Ibiza to shoot a destination wedding video. It’s been a very interesting year! I have met the most wonderful people, laughed my ass off and filled up with tears at all those emotional moments. Also a film I was involved in won 6 awards at a series of international film festivals….more on that next year!
The Best Wedding videos of the year
I consider myself truly blessed this year sharing in so many love filled days! Each couple has been amazing and welcomed me so warmly to their wedding day, so thank you very much! On another note I also got to go to Belarus and film a documentary for the charity Chernobyl Children International. This experience has been life changing for me and something I will be sharing in the new year with you all. From next year any wedding booking I take, a percentage of the money taken will be going towards helping the orphaned children who have been directly effected by the 1986 Chernobyl disaster.
Watch to the end to see my favourite moment!
The Best Wedding Venues
Well this year I have been back at some of my old favourite wedding venues including Great John Street and Ashfield House they really look after you there and the food ooh the food! Marques in back gardens have been popular this year with couples choosing to host their wedding reception on private farm lands. I’ve got to say this year I particularly enjoyed shooting at a new venue for me, Stock Farm and the Alcumlow Barn. Both being surrounded by the beautiful Cheshire countryside! If you’re thinking of getting married abroad I can recommend Ibiza for a Wedding and the area of Es Vedra which provided a truly jaw dropping back drop.
Wedding Highlights Videos
I truly love capturing weddings. I mean come on it’s the happiest workplace in the world! People often ask me if I’ve had any Bridezillas and the answer is No! Never! I believe you attract the right people to you in life and if you’re honest and up front about what you do then the right people will connect with you. I pride myself on being alternative, a story teller and someone who isn’t afraid of being a bit different. Every film I create is different as are my couples. A wedding is a celebration of love and not a day to be stressing about unnecessary seat covers and ribbons. Capturing the essence of the day is what I do best, just call me a ninja. Generally most people never notice me on the day lol.
Thank You all for helping me live my dream again this year!
Love Jo xxxxxxxx
