If you’re thinking of getting married in south Manchester then I can highly recommend Didsbury House Hotel part of the Eclectic Hotel Collection. I had the pleasure of filming a very intimate Wedding for Nigel and Pauline here in late September. This was my first time doing a wedding video at the super stylish Didsbury House Hotel. As a Manchester wedding videographer myself this venue is only 2 miles from my home in Gatley, despite this I still fancied booking a room for the night! I mean who wouldn’t want to chill out here it oozes charm, quirkiness and style. On the day wedding co-ordinator Georgia and her team couldn’t do enough for us.

The Didsbury House Hotel provides a very alternative and modern setting for a wedding nestled in the suburbs of Didsbury. If you don’t mind a little trot down the road you can take advantage of the lush parsonage gardens. This provides a great spot for some cosying up couple footage. Me and my fellow cat nutter Ayesha from Ayesha Photography decided to make the most of the break in the rain and catch that magic Manchester golden hour in the gardens. Nigel and Pauline were up for anything as they just walked and laughed their way around the autumn displays.
We had such fun with them both from start to finish. I particularly enjoyed Paulines quick wit and Nigel’s gutsy trumpet playing throughout the day. Oh and not forgetting her hairdressing friends laugh that was too infectious!
One of the funniest moments of the day came when Pauline’s Dad told an impromptu story about a wheely bin. Everyone one was in stitches at this point and I think most of Didsbury probably heard the laughing. On a more emotional note I certainly won’t forget the look on Nigel’s face when Pauline came down the aisle. Nigel was certainly fighting his emotions, which is something I love seeing on a wedding day. Pauline looked gorgeous as she entered in her classic 1920’s style dress to a room so heavily filled with love and joy!
Thanks for Pauline and Nigel for letting me share a wonderful day with you both! It was an absolute treat!
