Indian Wedding at Quarry Bank Mill

Over the Summer I shot two Wedding films I will never forget! so now it’s time to tell you about them……..

August was a wonderful month for me as I got to shoot my first Indian Wedding in Stratford and Cheshire.

I had such a blast filming Adam & Rakhi’s very alternative two part Wedding day, not only did I get to work with my fellow creative Cassandra Lane Photography but I got to experience a Wedding like no other. The Cheshire Wedding was filled with beautiful kind people and an epic selection of tunes.

The First Wedding was a traditional Hindu ceremony filled with colour, fire, garlands and gifts. It was a real honour to be part of such an intimate ceremony and observe the rituals and customs I had never seen before.

The evening events went something like this: Dancing, curry, dancing, drumming more food oh and more dancing! now this was my kind of Wedding. I absolutely love curry and a good dance! however I was severely out done on the dance floor by Cassandra Lane who was an absolute natural at the punjabi light bulb twisting.

The following week came the second Wedding which was at Quarry Bank Mill in Cheshire. Adam and Rakhi had a traditional Church Wedding at the Norcliffe chapel hidden in the scenic countryside of Styal.  Again we where blessed with fantastic weather and the sun shone all day long which made for some amazing golden hour light later on at Quarry Bank Mill.

I will always remember these Wedding’s because of the warmth, the smiles and the coming together of two beautiful families. Never have I felt so welcome, looked after and made to feel a real part of  both days than I did at Adam & Rakhi’s Wedding. So big thanks go out to the Sharma’s and Griffith’s for all their hospitality, dance move lessons and delicious food!
